BariStars: Coffee With Ability - Mobile Café

BariStars Mobile Cafe CatholicCare Sydney

Welcome to BariStars, our innovative addition to the CatholicCare Disability Services NDIS Employment program.

BariStars is a mobile café, custom built to give CatholicCare Disability participants valuable hospitality employment skills. While barista-made coffee and food will be the focus, BariStars provides innovative learning opportunities for people living with a disability.

Our fully trained and qualified Baristas, or BariStars as we like to call them, are proud of their new business venture and can’t wait to share it with you. Contact us to book BariStars for your next event.

Brewing a bright future for himself, BariStars freshly trained barista, Tom, says it best.

“I liked learning how to make all the different coffees; flat white, latte, cappuccino. The thing I like most about being a barista is frothing the milk. I enjoy hearing the hissing noise as the milk froths.” Tom, BariStars supported employee.

Saving the planet
BariStars are on board with working towards saving the planet and are encouraging its patrons to use reusable cups.

Did you know?
Did you know that by 2024 disposable coffee cups will be phased out and patrons will be charged an extra 50 cents per cup?

Legend has it that 9th-century goat herders noticed the effect caffeine had on their goats, who appeared to "dance" after eating the fruit of the Coffea plant. A local monk then made a drink with the produce and found that it kept him awake at night, thus the original cup of coffee was born.
