Celebrating National Families Week

This week, National Families Week (15-23 May) take time to celebrate your family, no matter what form it takes… For many of us, it is our family that loves, supports, and nurtures us, but some families need a helping hand to stay strong and stay together. 

CatholicCare Sydney supports the wellbeing goals of families through a range of services, including marriage and relationship education, natural fertility services, child development and parenting skills including (Parent Line and Parenting Hub), relationship repair and dispute resolution, counselling and addiction services, and support in schools.

Parent Line is a telephone counselling and support service for parents and carers of children aged 0-18 years, providing confidential and non-judgemental advice and support 7 days a week on everything from childhood anxiety and bullying to temper tantrums and toilet training. Parent Line is even ready to help when you are looking for advice with concerns about living with teenagers, managing stress, understanding a diagnosis of disability, online gaming, and even tips and tricks for getting through the school holidays.

Parent Line is open for calls 9am - 9pm Monday to Friday, and 4pm - 9pm on weekends 1300 1300 52

Parenting Hub is an online resource with tips and practical advice to manage the challenges of parenting – from building strong families to taking time for yourself, body image and self-confidence issues to creating childhood memories and encouraging children to build friendships at school.
