The tradition of giving gifts at Christmas dates back to the Magi, or three wise men, bringing gold, frankincense and myrrh to Baby Jesus in the manger…. And whilst we don’t deliver precious and symbolic items like they did, we are proud to continue the gift-giving tradition with our annual Christmas Gift Appeal.
This year Loreto Normanhurst, Our Lady of Mercy Catholic College Burraneer Bay, Freeman Catholic College Bonnyrigg Heights, and Holy Spirit Lakemba answered the call to ensure children from families in need had a gift to unwrap on Christmas morning.
The generosity of the students and their families from the four schools above reflected the true spirit of Christmas - thinking of others and delivering happiness to them. Bringing in donations and gifts, relevant for a variety of age groups, the school communities provided gifts for more than 200 children.
