Community Approach

CatholicCare is a critical part of the Sydney Community

CatholicCare is an essential part of the Sydney community. Our greatest wish is to see the people in our communities thrive. To make this possible we proudly work alongside Sydney Parishes and other community organisations to deliver our strategic plan.

Sydney Parishes

As the social services agency of the Archdiocese of Sydney, CatholicCare supports Sydney parishes to help families and individuals in their communities. Together, CatholicCare and Parishes are the “hands and feet” of Christ as disciples in the community, supporting the marginalized and vulnerable.

Our Community Care Workers provide face-to-face support for Parish communities. This free and confidential service offers advice and advocacy to people as they navigate the social services sector helping them to find the help they need.

Related Organisations

CatholicCare works alongside many organisations to help people to live and thrive at all ages. We acknowledge the following organisations that support us in our work:

In the spirit of reconciliation, CatholicCare Sydney acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea, and community. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
